GriefTrader (the "App"). Last updated 2026-04-23.
What we collect
GriefTrader is designed to respect your grief. The app collects:
- Your tombstone content — ticker, dates, loss amount, optional epitaph. These are entered by you and are either stored locally on your device or, if you enable "Share to public cemetery", on our servers.
- Authentication identity — when you sign in with Apple, Google, or a Passkey, we receive your email address and a stable user ID from the identity provider via Privy.io. We never see your password.
- Wallet address — on sign-in, an embedded Ethereum wallet on Base is created for you. Its public address is associated with your account.
- Anonymous analytics — screen views, button taps, and error traces. All events are scrubbed for sensitive keys (password, token, email, address, wallet, seed, mnemonic) before transmission.
What we don't collect
- Your real name or physical address
- Your brokerage credentials or trading account
- Your private wallet key (it stays in Privy's secure enclave and is never exposed to us)
- Your contacts, location, or device identifiers beyond the standard install ID
Third parties
- Privy.io — identity and embedded wallet infrastructure (privy.io/privacy)
- Supabase — server storage and edge functions (supabase.com/privacy)
- Sentry — crash reporting (sentry.io/privacy/)
- Amplitude — product analytics (amplitude.com/privacy)
- OpenAI / Alibaba Qwen — optional, server-side AI epitaph generation (your raw input is never stored by the model)
Your rights
You can:
- Delete your account at any time from Settings (coming soon) — this removes your server records within 30 days.
- Export your data by contacting us.
- Opt out of public cemetery by keeping the "Share" toggle off (this is the default).
Children
GriefTrader is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
